Impromptu Life

This short contains an introduction of self and project, followed by project: an animation of life-based ideas, to Chopin's Fantasie Impromptu.
I have always visualized sequences of epic and usually mathematical proportion when I listen to this piece, and the GBH Life Stories Open Call gave me a perfect opportunity to nail something down and put it together. Indeed inspired by NOVA's fall 2009 line up, this is my home-made portrait of the dominant ideas that inform our present understanding of the evolution of life and matter.

I am not a graphics artist, so the animation is...how do I say? Home-made?

Enjoy.

(Many thanks to Dr. Gerald Berthiaume, who allowed use of his performance of "Impromptu".)
