Submitted with permission from the WGBH lab as I used to work for 'GBH and wasn't sure if it would be kosher to submit a video to a community project.

A little back story: When I was at WGBH, I became very interested in Web video, but it wasn't part of my job description. I created interactive features, but no video. In terms of education, my background is print. In terms of what I had taught myself up until that point, my background was nearly everything multimedia EXCEPT video.

Shortly after leaving 'GBH, I decided to see how hard/easy it would be to teach myself video editing and production. I figured for my first project (linked here) I needed to aim a little lower, so I made it an audio stills piece. That said, I wanted to include footsteps, traffic, sirens, etc. in order to give you all of the sounds that would exist if it were a true video piece.

About the piece: Just watch it. It's about a very... unorthodox) garden that existed for a while about 100 doors down from my old place in Porter Square.
